Vertical Leisure Acquires Tribeca-Gallop Satire ‘Land Of Needs’ Starring Sheila Vand, Matt Dillon & Isabella Rossellini – Search The Trailer

EXCLUSIVE: Vertical Leisure has obtained North American rights to the political satire Land of Needs, directed by Shirin Neshat and Shoja Azari, which is making its North American premiere in the Spotlight Myth share of the Tribeca Movie Competition in June. The realm indie distributor has slated the film for a day-and-date theatrical launch in 10 of the head 20 markets—including in Los Angeles and New York—this fall. Position in a come-future The United States which has closed its borders and become more insular than ever, the legend follows Simin (Sheila Vand), an Iranian American woman on a spin to examine the core of what it approach to be a free American. Simin works for the Census Bureau—the largest govt company of her time. In efforts to take care of and control its populous, the govt.has begun a program to story the residents’ desires. Simin, one of many Census Bureau’s lead dream catchers, is ignorant of this devious place. As she kinds connections with love-struck poet Designate (William Moseley) and a cynical detective (Matt Dillon) tasked alongside with her safety, Simin’s morals, connection to neighborhood and safety become examined in unforeseeable solutions.

Assorted upcoming releases from the firm contain Eli Horowitz’s SXSW 2022 thriller The Cow, starring Winona Ryder and John Gallagher Jr.; John Patton Ford’s Sundance 2022 pic Emily the Prison, starring Aubrey Plaza and Theo Rossi; and Krystin Ver Linden’s Sundance drama Alice, starring Keke Palmer, Customary, Gaius Charles and Jonny Lee Miller. Piantedosi negotiated the deal for Land of Needs on behalf of Vertical Leisure, with Evan Krauss from Eisner LLP, UTA Self sustaining Movie Community and Palodeon Photos’ Tryon on behalf of the filmmakers.
